Educational Aspects of Identity

The Learning Tree Series

WOCPSCN astute Board members observed that there were missing links within aspects of formal education that need addressing; in particular, self-awareness, identity production, and other educational aspects that are distant for children of color.

The Learning Tree Series is designed to not only discuss such issues but also to develop alliances to close the academic gap.  Upon the vision of Women of African Diaspora Griots, The Learning Tree Series will establish community alliances that support community intellectualism.  Our vision is to rebuild upon past legacies in order to develop new formats of knowledge production.

Women of African Diaspora Griots is the empowerment literary aspect of WOCPSCN. WOADG provides spaces for diaspora women and girls to create and share their stories that aren't normally present in conversations of resistance, resilience, realliances, and reconditioning, within responses to the development of change.

Our gatherings are designed to support the feminine griotism.
